Thirsty

I feel... dry. I desperately need a change. Everything seems... so.... shallow.

There must be more than this
O breath of God, come breathe within

There must be more than this
Spirit of God we wait for You
Fill us anew we pray

Fill us anew we pray

Consuming fire

Fan into flame

A passion for Your name

Spirit of God
Fall in this place
Lord have Your way

Lord have Your way
With us

Come like a rushing wind

Clothe us with power from on high

Now set the captives free

Leave us abandoned to Your praise

Lord let Your glory fall
Lord let Your glory fall

Today's the 27th, but my scripture calendar shows the 28th's. Guess what it says.

Psalm 22:1 My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Far from my deliverance are the words of my groaning.

The challenge: Where are you today? On the road, walking toward Him? Sitting down, too bewildered to even formulate questions? Or are you kneeling right at His bleeding feet?

Break my heart with what breaks Yours
Set me apart for Your kingdom's cause

When will I ever learn?? Petty petty petty petty petty things... ARGH...

I wonder how many of you will understand what I'm talking about.

P.S. Li! Or Nick! Or anyone who's reading this! I don't get this part: "Far from my deliverance are the words of my groaning." Care to venture an explanation?

I was looking for desktop wallpapers the other day. I found these with Li Hong, or rather he did most of the finding XD

Be worthy love, and love will come.

if u flip the sentence it would read: the words of my groaning are far from my deliverance. i think it means that the psalmist perceives that his ordeals are far from over and it would take time before God comes to the rescue

i think it means that although the psalmist's groaning, his deliverance seems so far away..it seemed at that time that God had forsaken him..that even when he cried out..God seemed so distant..I've found it useful when I don't understand that i look at other translations...www.biblegateway.com...
for hard passages, normally i look at the living translation and the message =)

another thought..when you're thirsty..more often than not, it's time to dig deeper..when the water at the level's dried up, it's time to dig the well deeper =)

I cannot offer any better explanation than those already given; though I must agree that the phrase does echo feelings of being forsaken... After reading your post, i immediately turned to my scripture calender on my desk; since I just got up, it still shows yesterday's verse-
"The God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered awhile, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast..."- I think that's for you too, dear Rachel. =)
I guess you posted some picture or scanned something for that post, but I can't seem to read it. haha. It's all in funny symbols. Some of the previous posts also has the same mark. I suppose my com can't read some of the stuff. hehe. Will check it out on a uni com.

Have you heard the song "Jesus I am thirsty, won't you come and fill me?" I don't have the mp3 but only the CD. You should listen to that.hehe. =)

And yenn, the 2nd paragraph you wrote spoke to me too... Dig deeper... =)

WOW. Thanks guys!!

Nick, it's cuz I was using webdings font. I've changed the font on this and the previous posts. Haiyo... why didn't you mention this earlier..? I didn't realise there were comps which couldn't read =(

And would it be possible to send the song to me via email? The song would just be in wma format right? (haha I'm not sure whether I'm making sense at all)

Btw, I tried ripping the music from the CD to send it to you but they is no icon that allows me to do so. Ripped music remains in the media library. Anybody has any ideas how to copy a song from a CD in a way to send it out? hehe... I really feel u should hear d song... I am listening to it now... ('',)
